You don't get a first person story from Stephen King very often, so I was pleasantly surprised to find just that in the title story, which ended up feeling more like a half-finished novella that he just couldn't be bothered to complete. I listened to this one on audiobook and was pleased to find th...

Some of the stories I'd already read in other collections of short stories, but the ones I'd not read before (as well as most of the ones I had read before) were fantastic!

Everything's Eventual is a good collection of the kind of writing that has made Stephen King so popular. However most of this collection was not as 'spine-chilling' as the blurb suggested. The two genuinely scary pieces were '1408' and 'The Road Virus Heads North'. '1408' was one of the scariest t...

When reviewing short story collections I rate each story with a 1 to 5 star rating and then tally the results for the overall book rating. It’s not exactly fair I know but I do give extra points for exceptionally fine stories.I enjoyed King’s commentaries for each of the tales.Stories:Autopsy Room ...

I really enjoyed the variety this series had to offer. I had my personal favorites and would recommend anyone pick up his shorts.

Yet another example of why I love Stephen King. Every story in this book was great. King's ability to write like he's speaking only to YOU is one of my favorite things about him. You get the feeling that he's telling you a secret, letting you in on some amazing observation of life, without him needi...

i love stephen king. people who don't read him or dismiss him as 'pop fiction' don't know what a good writer he is. my favorite thing about him is his character development, but in a group of short stories, he can't really do much of that. still, this collection of stories has a few fantastic re...

Of the several short collections of Stephen King, this is definitely tilted more towards the ‘heart of darkness’ in the overall themes. I also think this is one of the better collections, and it’s definitely a great example of his writing in the last ten or so years.I won’t go into every story, but ...

To be honest I wasn't really impressed by this collection. There was nothing that I could really get into, and that included the Dark Tower story, which I thought would be really, really good. I think the two best stories in the collection are the one with the crazy maître d' and the road virus he...

Really quite good. I think King's short stories are generally much much better than his novels. They're short, to-the-point, don't go off on tangents, and usually pack a punch. The title story, Everything's Eventual, is great too... Did anyone ever read the kid's book, "The Girl With the Silver Eyes"...
