Dickens wonderful story of how a man changes overnight in time for Christmas. I wanted a quick audiobook and this fit the bill. It was a good book to listen to while driving to work out and on the way home again.

Yay! I finally finished a Dickens book! Helps that it was short and one that I'm well familiar with thanks to Mickey Mouse and Xena. :D He's still a little long-winded but being restricted by a short story certainly helped the rambling. I watched and read many adaptations of this short novel but never read the original. The story was OK but the language used by Dickens is just as inaccessible as it was ten years ago.

Although this is THE christmas classic, I just now got around to read it for the first time and I absolutely love it! Scrooge and his epic “Bah, humbug!” is an amazing character, way better than his depiction in any movie adaptation I have seen (whereas my favourite one is the TV adaption from 1984)...

by Charles Dickens What can anyone say about a Dickens Classic? This story has stood the test of time for good reason. Some of Dickens' stories can be overly wordy and full of too many characters and get confusing, but this one is straight forward and tells the story in a clear, linear fashion l...

Dickens has an amazing talent for description--loved all his discussion of the Christmas food.Really glad I finally read the book after watching so many adaptations. It's so short I could definitely see myself rereading it every year.
