This is the most awesome book ever. No one else is anything close to as fantastic as Allie Brosh - her humour, her keen ability to portray human weakness in the most accurate yet side-splitting way, her dogs are weird and wonderful, and I identify with her childhood passions for cake and parties. PA...

“Nobody can guarantee that it's going to be okay, but - and I don't know if this will be comforting to anyone else - the possibility exists that there's a piece of corn on a floor somewhere that will make you just as confused about why you were laughing as you have ever been about why you are depres...

I think anything I write about this book will fall short in explaining just how wonderful it is. It is a genuinely funny, sad, real and personal book, simply about things that make up life. I have to give this book all five stars, because I'd have to give any book that includes Allie Brosh's story "The God of Cake" five stars, and yes I do include Mein Kampf in that calculation. (Sorry, Godwin.) The reason I'm hedging at all -- you noticed, didn't you? -- is that I was thrilled to rece...
The Fevered Imagination of Danielle DeVor
As one of the people who have been following Allie's blog for awhile, some of the stories in this were not new to me, but I find myself being able to read them over and over.First of all, you have to understand that Allie has one heck of an imagination. Well, that and her drawings are hilarious. And...

any book that makes me laugh aloud in my empty house is a 5 star book. even though I'd read some of these before, it was great to read them again. Brosh is a born storyteller and adept cartoonist. but you probably already knew this.
