I set out with the intent of quoting my favorite passages from this book. By the end I realized there was only one: "I am America by Stephen Colbert." What, you ask? I'm saying the whole frickin' thing is quotable! I Am America is hilarious from start to finish. I snorted, I chortled, I laughed so h...
I find that satire is best consumed in spurts, but the shout-y nature of Colbert's self-named character made this book more tiresome than most. The good: Margin notes act like the "The Word" on his tv show, providing counterpoint and insight. The footnotes were often funny. Colbert is good at getti...
Stephen Colbert was able translate his humor from screen to the written page in fantastic fashion in I Am America (And So Can You!). Although Colbert covers material that was featured on The Colbert Report, but does so in a fun and engaging way that one doesn't mind a bit of overlap with his TV show...

And I hope most of the stuff in this book isn't really his true opinion. I'm assuming it's not, but who freaking knows. Wow. If you like his show,...
I am going to get some slack for stating this, but I loved this book. Colbert has been on the scene for a while, but I just now discovered him and his wonderful jabs at the follies of our political system. This book made me laugh at some points to the brink of tears. This should be required readi...
