At first, it wasn't bad. Then at page 100, it got worse. And then at 230 it was really bad. And by the end, it was eye-bleeding, mind-numbingly bad. It just became a huge, garbled mess of events, like the author couldn't decide what should be the true climax of the book. So why not just try it all? ...

I expected the Silverton Scandal to be more important then it was, given that the name of the book is The Silverton Scandal. It does have an effect, but I thought that someone had learned that Lord Silverton (Lucien) was the one to rob the stage coach that Eleanor was on. I had wondered why a Lord ...

This is about as close to "Hell no!" as I'm likely to get for quite some time. Epistolary style novels do not work for me; I find them annoying, boring, and rarely finish them. In the book's defense, I didn't realize what this was when I bought it or I'd simply have never tried it. It came as litt...

I have an odd relationship with this writer's Jane Austen pastiches; despite the fact that the books never get more then a meh 3 stars from me, I keep coming back for me. I can't figure out if this makes me an optimist or masochist. Yet I can't stay away, mostly because her ideas are ones I've per...

When I first started reading this, I thought, "Oh dread. Jane Austen fanfic." But then I tried a story or two (and then three or four) and found that this was rather well-done Austen fanfiction. My biggest criticism is that there weren't enough stories related to Sense and Sensibility. That said, I ...

I really quite enjoyed this. It was a good view to it all, as I had no idea Darcy liked her from that early on. Some nights I found it required too much effort to read Pride & Prejudice, yet this can be read no matter how tired you are at the end of the day.

This was far better than "Mr. Darcy's Diary" in the same series. Not only because 'Persuasion' is my favorite novel of all-time (although that may have been a contributing factor as well), but mainly because Grange actually uses her imagination in this one, and therefore creates something partly-ori...
