This had rather a surprising start. At least, I hadn't seen it coming, but then how could I? Anyway, still good, but not quite as fascinating as the two first. I don't know if that's because I just like Luke/Lee better than Nina or because the world building is mostly over now.
While this book was a step down from the other two, it was still an enjoyable read. The reader is introduced to four new characters in the Shadow Children series—Nina Idi, the main character from whose perspective you read; and three orphan kids who Nina is meant to betray—Percy, Matthias, and Alia,...
