Hello, everyone!My name is Andy Rodriguez, aka Andrew J. Rodriguez in the publishing world.As a student of the human condition who views the writer's craft as a means to enrapture the mind and touch the heart, I have written five books."Santa Rita Stories," Coming of Age in a Cuban Fishing town, is my most recent. "Helen's Treasure:" Odyssey of a Ladies' Man has been a favorite for romantic readers. "The Incredible Adventures of Enrique Diaz" was a finalist at both, The Book of the Year Award sponsored by Foreword magazine, and the Best Book Award sponsored by USA Book News.My second book "Adios, Havana," a Memoir, won the prestigious Colorado Independent Publishers Assoc. EVVY Award in 2005 as well as the Allbooks Reviews 'Editor's Choice Award' for that same year, and my first novel; "The Teleportation of an American Teenager" is an exciting time-travel adventure that moves from Mongolia to medieval Venice along the fabled Silk Road, and my most recent work; "Santa Rita Stories" published on June 12, 2014 is a collection of ten stories narrated by a fourteen year old boy who comes of age in a Cuban fishing town before the communist revolution.Born in Cuba, I escaped from Castro's "paradise" to the land of the free at age twenty-one along with my eighteen-year-old wife, Margarita.We have three children and four grandkids all born in America.
