What fabulous list! I look forward to reading how you like them all ... and I am really curious about your take on Our Man in Havana. :D
BrokenTune
Oh, and I recommend you find some wine to help with Passenger to Frankfurt and many of the Bonds. On second thought, something stronger may be called for. Here's a fab recipe for a gin martini (which to me sounds better than a Vesper):

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/mar/17/how-make-dry-martini-roger-moore-way-james-bond
Thank you! I managed to draw blood the other night while slicing up limes for my G&T, so I need something which doesn't require sharp things!
BrokenTune
Oh, please make sure that no sharp objects are close by when you start Passenger to Frankfurt. ;)
I promise to be very cautious! I'll limit myself to wine while reading that one!
BrokenTune
For that one, seriously, take the gin. You'll need it.
Bahahahaha! Gin it is!
Abandoned by user
That is a terrible book.
Themis-Athena's Garden of Books
Ooooh yes. That one definitely requires gin. Straight, no chaser. Or even vodka ... as high proof as you can get.

ETA: You may also want to have some of that stuff handy for "Destination Unknown". Not quite as bad as "Passenger to Frankfurt", but definitely high on the eyeroll factor (and decidedly more so than "N or M?", which I'm not a huge fan of, either).
BrokenTune
Absolutely. Destination Unknown might improve slightly, tho, if read straight after PtF. Also, you might still benefit from that gin buzz. ;)
Themis-Athena's Garden of Books
True. :D

Great list! I may join you with some Eric Ambler, Graham Greene & John LeCarre! BrokenTune did an Adventures in Greene-land project a couple of years ago, and I really enjoyed the posts!
I'll be on the lookout for your thoughts. I've never read LeCarre and I think its about time.
BrokenTune
Depending on timing I may also be up for some Le Carre, Ambler, MacInnes, and the Hugh Laurie one. :D
Oh, fun! I'll try to stay alert to both of your postings!
BrokenTune
Grand!

@MR - That Greene-land Project was a lot of fun. He was a great writer, and the books Wanda picked of his are all three examples of Greene at his best.

There is something very appealing about Cold War spy fic right now. I think it's because the world made sense to me back then, and today Trump is in the White House, and is selling the country to oligarch who will pay him the most for it.
BrokenTune
There is also an aspect of knowing that, in the end, there was a resolution mingled with the hope that the current state of affairs is headed towards a similar path. Tho, .... Trump, May, etc. Ugh... How long until your next election?

4-fucking-ever.

Or 2020. Whichever comes first.
Wow, this is a huge list! You're sure to find something entertaining that you like. Enjoy!
More choices = something being available when I need it! Plus I like choice. :)

I think I am stealing your idea. The Summer of Spies sounds great - it's sort of mystery focused, but I need a bit of a break from the classic mystery.
Steal away! I'm willing to share the fun. :)
BrokenTune
Wanda, btw, if you grow tired of the Bond stories (not saying you will, but I remember wanting to hit Fleming with a shovel on numerous occasions...), there is a different take on the world of Bond in The Moneypenny Diaries.

I revisited them earlier this month:
http://brokentune.booklikes.com/post/1665281/the-moneypenny-diaries
I noticed that you were reading that! I will definitely keep them in mind. :) Thank you.
Themis-Athena's Garden of Books
As of yesterday, book 1 of these is sitting on my (physical) TBR, too ...
BrokenTune
Yay! I'm really curious what you make of it.
Themis-Athena's Garden of Books
I have a feeling this won't have a chance to slide very far down that TBR ladder before being picked up and read, seeing as it nicely ticks off not only this but also the "women writers" reading project.
Themis-Athena's Garden of Books
OK, I have some Le Carré, Greene, and Ambler on my TBR. Also possibly Len Deighton. I guess that means I'm in as well?
Yay! Espionage is us.
