An unsung hero of the American West/Indian Territories, Bad News for Outlaws reacquaints readers with a fearless ex-slave turned U.S. Marshall, Bass Reeves. A remarkable story of a remarkable man, beautifully illustrated. Highly recommended.

This was a reasonably interesting book about a very interesting man, and it has certainly made me want to learn more about Bass Reeves. The text in this book was a little too "western" for my taste, but it was appropriate to the time in which this story takes place, and I could really see it appeal...
