Between Shades of Gray was a really well-written novel. It was realistic, moving, and just.. beautifully put together.Few books are written like this one!Check out my blog review. http://bookaholic-ness.blogspot.com/2013/06/book-review-between-shades-of-gray-by.html
Our country is doomed, don't you see? Our fate is genocide, no matter whose hands we fall into 3.5 stars. Between shades of Gray looks at the lesser known genocide in World War II. In 1939 the Soviet union occupied the Baltic states and started with the mass deportation of all people considered anti...

Elena, in particular stands foremost in my mind. That she clung to hope through every single thing they went through, but what was even was...
Holy anti-depressants, Batman.War is hell. This book makes this statement perfectly clear, and provides the audience with a new look into an old horror story: World War II. Coming from America, I sadly had no idea what Stalin had done to the Baltic countries, and reading about these voiceless victim...

Word of advice: Do not begin reading this at 10:30 at night. It will make you want to go into your kid's room and wake them at 2 am after you finish the book just to kiss them and know they are safe.Heart wrenching.
