Bob McDowell started out as a content writer & ghost writer. Then after taking "nearly every copywriting course known to mankind" through the American Writers and Artists, Inc. which is lauded as the premier copywriting training school in the nation, he worked as a copywriter for many years focusing on nearly every aspect of the health industry as well as personal-development..During his first few years while serving with the United States Army after being drafted in 1970, he worked in the Public Information and Public Affairs field with the primary duty of writing articles for THE ARMY TIMES and the STARS & STRIPES military newspapers before being selected to work in the Army's Behavioral Sciences field as a child abuse investigator. Armed with an undergraduate degree in law enforcement and a graduate degree in clinical psychology, Bob spent over 20-years in private practice as a therapist and as the Director of PTSD-Solutions in Pleasanton, California. After retiring from the mental health field, he worked with two prominent attorneys as a family and divorce mediator specializing in child custody issues by helping families to create workable parenting plans which he found to be extremely rewarding.He also spent many years in the hospice field as an end-of-life counselor & spiritual advisor; as a grief counselor, and has spent time in various aspects of the funeral industry.Today at 64-years of age, the focus of Bob McDowell's work is in authoring non-fiction digital books based on his experiences with the hope of making a difference in other people's lives by giving people a lot of food-for-thought. In his first recently-published Kindle book, "Answers About Life: Answers to Life's Many Mysteries Revealed" he shares with his audience the spiritual knowledge he learned from his transcendent experience in 1981.
