I always recommend this book to any one who has never read any Stephen King. Its a good starter novel into King's work. Not too long. The book doesn't weight 20 lbs. Not a lot of freaky supernatural. And well, it's a little gory but just at the end. It's a great read.
It’s odd to read this now. King is a behemoth. People who don’t read books probably know his name and he’s synonymous with Horror fiction. It doesn’t feel like he wanted to be a horror writer in his first novel. There’s blood, cruelty and a general depressive tone. What defines a story is more than ...
There are Book's for every reviewer that just hit's a nerve or their very inner core. For some Reason This is like Cujo to me It deals with raw emotions. King has a way with his book's. He's a mind player to his fan's and this is why I love him. He doe's this with Carrie. It's a very touchy scene. Th...

Het verhaal werd de eerste helft heel goed opgebouwd, maar ik vond het jammer dat het spannendste moment in het MIDDEN van het boek begon. * gelezen voor de 2015 chall...
Carrie is a teenage girl with a religious extremist mother who makes her dress dowdy and become the school nerd. Unfortunately for both, Carrie has a special telekinetic ability which of course her mother says is from the devil. As adolescence sets in in full force, Carrie really wants to go to th...
The first book I ever read of Kings, and it got me hooked. Carrie is the underdog, a girl terrorized by an insanely religious mother, victimized and persecuted by her peers, and alienated from the world around her. Many of us daydream about the revenge we will exact from those kids who made fun of ...
