Sam is a broken young man, whose job as a film critic is just starting to take off, even as his personal life is crashing down around him. His relationship with Marcus, God of Fear, turned out to be a horrible mistake, sending him spiraling down into a web of self-doubt and depression. Luckily, Sam has always been a follower of magic, and he knows just enough about how the gods work to keep his head above water until he meets the Dom of his dreams, Hector. Seemingly the perfect match for Sam's impulsive, reckless Sub, Hector soon shows signs of jealousy and need that go beyond what Sam might be able to give.
