Actual rating: 2.5I'm sorry but the book was just so-so for me. Even the deemed surprising plot twist was not a plot twist for me at all. Maybe I've watched way too many slasher, thriller and psychological films that upon reading the blurb of the book, I've already formulated a theory regarding poss...

I LOVE this book! I will for sure be looking for more works by this author! The cast of characters were so realistic I could either relate to them, or I know someone in my life that is like them. The twists and turns I did not see coming, especially the one at the end, that was FANTASTIC!!If you love ...

Oh my goodness, that was craaazyyy!!! This book is super weird, creepy, and dark. I loved the twist at the end, even though I kind of expected it I was still surprised. I was literally breathless at points! This is a wild ride packed into one little book. Definitely read it!

You can read all of my reviews at Alluring Reads.Choker was a steal of a deal that I picked up at Chapters in hardcover for $4.99. I will admit, the price was right and the cover was pretty so I didn't even read anything about it. Right before I started reading this I perused the reviews on Goodre...

Choker isn't Speculative Fiction like I usually review, but I received a copy from the publisher and decided to read it based on the synopsis. It sounds creepy but good, and that's exactly what it is.The book starts by introducing the friendship of Zoe and Cara, and immediately we can see that Zoe i...

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. That’s really all I have to say. That, and I nearly was sick from how disturbed I was at this book. I don’t see how anybody could have enjoyed reading it, although there are several positive reviews online. But I just cannot see it. From page one, this book was ju...

I went into this book with no particular assumptions, I’d read a few great reviews here and there, so didn’t really have my expectations set too high, but after finishing Choker, my feelings were kind of conflicted. Choker tells the story of Cara; a girl whose pretty much been ignored at school unti...

Oh my god...this book gave me the chills. It took awhile to get into this but after page 50 it started to pick up.I gave it 3 stars because it wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either. Well technically 2 stars, 1 star is for the lovely cover :) Meet cara, she gets picked on a lot at school, especi...

The book started out all right. I hated what the other girls did to Cara. They were awful and despicable. So, I did sympathize with her. For a while. Then she just got to me. She just seemed so, weak and a pushover at times. You couldn’t help but get frustrated at her sometimes. When Zoe comes in, s...
