I'll have to check it out! I could use a good rant. I loved the first books too. It's sort of mind blowing how terrible they've become if you compare with earlier in the series.

Yeah. It's not even the increasing quantity of sex and sex partners (I can skim, although it's weird to think of sex scenes as boring until you read for yourself how many pages they go on -- okay, some squicky underage and potential incest scenes are gross if what I hear of latest books is true).

It's the lack of plot and the increasing speshul-ness with hypocritical moralizing of how she's still a good girl caught up in supernatural influences while others are utter skanks even if in monogamous relationships ...
