Ok, I finished this tonight. I have to admit that I was doing some major skimming because I totally missed the subplot where Griff's sister was going to be a surrogate for him and Jim. I also didn't quite get the resolution/reconcilliation between Daisy and Bennett. I know they left things as "working on it", but was there any explanation for Bennett 's behavoir other than he was just a total asshole. There seemed to be a lot happening in this book.
I didn't do any skimming and there if there was a mention of who the surrogate for Griff & Jim's baby was I missed it too. I think the author put this in so that we'd know that they were moving in that direction and not to leave us wondering because of Jim's initial reluctance and given how many sister's that Griff had it wasn't surprising that one of them would be willing to surrogate for them.
As for Bennett there was a conversation between him and Jim (I'm pretty sure it was Jim) where Bennett admitted that this person was from his past but it was something that he had been involved with and the relationship sounds like it had been fairly long term so I'm assuming he had strong feelings for the guy as in maybe thought he'd loved him, anyways, Bennett said that when he saw the guy he got to wondering. It's a feeble excuse but as far as I'm concerned when it comes to cheating any excuse is feeble. Once you get married you decisions made no looking back and wondering what if. The time to do that is before the marriage not after. So yeah, at the end of it all he was an idiot and did his thinking with the little head and not the one that actually has a brain.
