Totally agree with you on the books covers. I'm so bored and done with headless male torsos or half-naked guys on covers. I much prefer the ones that set a mood with imagery or actually has something to do with the story.
Right? A little originality goes a long ways and for me these covers both set a mood and had a connection to the stories. Not in the sense that they showed something specific to the story but more that they represented something about one of the core characters and they're just different and pretty to look at.
