So, does that mean you are taking part? Do you know your first book, yet?

I am!!! The first book I'm reading is called " One door to Heaven" or something like that by Dean Koontz. It's kind of Sci-Fi I guess. I've never read anything by him before. I'm awaiting a used copy in the mail:)

Cool. I've never read anything by him either.

Also, congratulations on writing more reviews. :)

Thanks!:) I'm hoping to do more reading/writing this year... My news years resolution for 2015. I did not even come close to my reading goal 2014.
Do you have new reading challenges for this year?
BrokenTune 10 years ago
But it doesn't matter whether you met your reading goal as long as you have had fun reading. I'm not much good for challenges as I keep picking up books spontaneously that I am interested in at that moment in time - hence i keep reading more than one book at any one time.

Good pts! I agree :). I do the same. Also, I used to feel like I had to finish a book even if I didn't really enjoy it. Then if I didn't finish it I'd feel guilty lol ...I' m not sure why. This year I'm in it for one reason ... to enjoy the process or like you said to have fun reading:).

I have signed up for two or three group reads over on GR, tho. Not really a challenge but still...

Oh, I dnf at will. If the book isn't for me, it will have to go. Life's too short.

I agree with both of you. I used to feel I had to finish a book, but not anymore. There are just too many books I want to read to waste time on one that I'm not enjoying or getting anything from.

I feel the same about challenges. I started several last year and a couple I found just were not interesting, so I quit.

I hope you'll like my challenge, the whole year or some of the months, but if not, don't feel guilty about quitting. It's your life. Don't waste it feeling guilty. (I'm really trying to learn this, too.)

I love your challenge Sock Poppet! I love having a choice with the prompts. I think it's going to be great fun. Excited to give it a go.
BrokenTune 10 years ago
I was seriously considering your challenge, too. Having a choice of prompts is great. I also love that one of them is "your first book of the year".

Glad both of you like the challenge. I've been having fun looking for books that have "One" or "First" in the title.

" also love that one of them is "your first book of the year"."

At least every reader can accomplish that one!
