This looks so great. I´m feeling awfully tempted to join in the bingo madness as well :). Although I know that I won´t be able to get the "Read in a boat, tent or cabin" one.
Lillelara, any non-house sort of a structure is fine: boat, tent, cabin, shed, trailer, henhouse, treehouse, shithouse (couldn't resist, sorry), barn, or stable. ;)
HA! That was my first thought when I read MR's post above: "Oh! I have a henhouse! Can I stand to sit in it long enough to read more than a page?". There's also a good chance my chickens would try to eat the book. :D
:D. My colleague only has three chickens. I think I can fend them off ;). Or maybe not? Can chickens be as equally vicious as geese? If that is the case, I will stay clear of the henhouse.
Depends on the chickens. :) We only have three too, but two of them... they aren't vicious, quite the opposite, but they think everything is something to eat and they experiment with their beaks. (The 3rd chicken - the biggest one - is afraid of her own shadow.)
I have a trip to Orkney coming up - that will be the boat one! I think MR said that this square basically means you read the book anywhere except in your home....
The ones I will struggle with are the genre ones: Sci fi, Romance, Fantasy..... Not really on my shelves. However, this looks too good not to take part. I don't really mind if I don't complete all the squares.
And I second the demand for pics :). I want to read Arcadia by Iain Pears, which would fit the SciFi or fantasy bill. The romance one on the other hand will be a tough one.
@MdB: "A long way to a small angry planet" by Becky Chambers is a SciFi book that a lot of non-SciFi-readers love. There isn't a lot scientific stuff going on, the whole book is more about the characters and their relationships. I enjoyed it quite a bit, I just would have wished for an engaging plot.
@Lillelara: Thanks for that, I'll check it out. Most of what I dislike about science fiction isn't the scence (I'm a bit of science nerd in fact). It's the speculative aspect of the realities and most of them are space related. Space bores me senseless. :P
