Thank you.
Great photos -- enjoy the sun while it's out! (Should I recognize the scenery?)

Thanks. It's at Bullers of Buchan. We didn't go there but you might have been on another trip. It's up the coast (5-6km?) from Slains Castle.
I thought it might be, yes. I passed by there on my way to Aberdeen. Lovely spot indeed!

Did you make it down along the cliff side foot path? It's not actually visible from the road.

The bottom ones (according to my bird expert) are shaggs. I had some other pictures that I didn't post as I mistook them to be the same guillemots but apparently were razor bills(?). I have no idea. I just thought they looked awesome - like airborne penguins.

I concur. Black guillemots and European Shag. Looks like a lovely day!

I still think that guillemots should be renamed to "airborne penguins". :)

The same could be said of Puffins, I think. They are wonderful, all of them.

Puffins was what I was looking for actually, but they nest a little bit south of this spot - basically the next cliff over - but I could not get there on the day as the (very!) narrow path along the cliff edge was overgrown with nettles and thistles and I was wearing shorts. I tried but decided to turn back. Am looking to try again next weekend.

Btw, guillemots, puffins, penguins - are they all auks?
