Oh dear! Not promising.

But look on the bright side... fewer books on the TBR, and "0" guilt over having spent too much time on books I don't enjoy.

Way to give it a positive spin! Hopefully you'll find a couple of gems along with way. :)

I like your attitude!

@Wanda - Well, I am hopeful! We have They Came to Baghdad coming up after all! :D
(Btw, my colleagues gave me a bottle of gin for my birthday! So, I am all set.)

Haha, my local liquor store just had a ginormous sale on multiple kinds of gin! I've stocked up!

Sounds fab! What did you get?

Tanqueray and The Botanist.
Ugh, I hate when some months just turn out poopy. Here's to July being better!

Well, chances are that all (or at least the majority) of the duds have now been kicked off the TBR. :)

Sometimes, it's very satisfying to slash all those awful books from where they've been cluttering up your TBR list.

It is very satisfying indeed! :)

I have a lot of books that I acquired for whatever reason, but am avoiding actually reading them because I'm afraid I am going to hate them, or they will require more effort to read than I feel like giving. You're inspiring me to designate a DNF celebration month, where I just burn through them and am either pleasantly surprised or satisfyingly confirmed in my suspicions.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Maybe in September, which is when I annually celebrate not having to go back to school and read books under duress.

A DNF celebration month! Now, that does sound good. That might have just become an annual event in my calendar. :D
