Thank you for posting this! I‘m definitely in, but then you knew that ...
And to the 24 Festive Tasks crowd, just in case you‘re not using this one for the Hogswatch square, there‘s also Festivus, Día de los Muertos and the holiday book joker — and probably a bunch of other squares where it would fit. Not that anyone should need a particular reason to read this book in the first place, of course!
I'm thinking of joining, the 24 tasks, at least. I don't think I want to re-read this, now I've had a think about it, but I'm going to join in with the festivities if possible.
Welcome -- we'd love to see you! No need to do all of them ... just pick something you like. :) You've worked hard enough on something much more consequential last month!
I've been staring at my accumulating stack of Christmas books practically all November, with part of my mind going "hold it ... hold it ... hold it", and the other part going "why can't it be December already??"
So, since the beginning of this month, it's no holds barred on anything and everything Christmas. Or whatever it may be called elsewhere -- including in fictional universes!
I'm very tempted to just call a stop to the Mt. TBR project and just indulge in all things Christmas-themed murder (of the literary kind, of course) but I'm also really tempted to see if I can actually finish the damn stack of books!!
Of course, I really should just stop because I spent this weekend getting totally sidetracked by a couple of kindle books, rather than finishing The Water Rat of Wanchai. :(
I started the audio last week ::sheepish grin:: - since I only listen in the car, I figured a head start would keep me from falling behind. If you see what I mean. ;)
I started listening to "The Light Fantastic" last night, thinking I'd just get in a few hours before going to bed. But there never seemed to be a logical point to stop ... so I ended up bingeing on the whole thing. (Color me seriously underslept as a result, on a day when I really *should* have other things on my mind). Oh well. I very much recommend the Nigel Planer audio, btw. If only for the fact that the trolls have a Scottish accent!
Excellent -- for a while there I thought we were not even going to have a semblance of a group discussion on it! And yeah, that tea thing ... sometimes it's really essential to survival. ;)
Still not back in my regular reading mojo, but I will definitely read Hogfather and The Light Fantastic next (after havign finished the Wimsey novel). Not sure which one I will be picking up first, though.

Needless to say, I'm in.
