Thank you. Some primary school skills have come in very handy during these crazy times. :)
Excellent technique and very nice result indeed! What's in the pretty yellow cloth-covered jar?

Lemon curd. :)
Oh, yum!

How does an egg cup work? I mean, I get that you put your unshelled soft-boiled egg in it, but how do you get the shell off and eat it without getting the shell in it?

I believe there are different techniques - I like breaking the top with a teaspoon (a small one that will fit inside the egg), then removing the shell of the top quarter. The egg white is intact while doing so, and I have never had a problem with pieces of shell falling "into" the egg. Then "slice" off the egg white top with the spoon to get to the yolk (for dipping bread in). The egg cup holds everything upright in between dipping soldiers into the yolk, or spooning out the rest of the egg.

Interesting! It sounds almost ceremonial, and there is always some comfort in ritual. I just chop mine up on a plate and wipe all up with my toast.
