Wow. That is quite a story. And I had no idea this went on for decades and decades -- right into our (well, my) own lifetime -- even after the first lawsuits had been decided on the merits (even if they didn't result in adequate compensation for the plaintiffs) -- and that via the debris, after the factory had finally been closed, the radium poisoning actually *did* segue straight into the toxic waste lawsuits of more recent decades. What an atrocious legacy indeed.
