I think the STGRB wants us to believe he is on their side, but I refuse to believe it based on one post over there. The internet really does have trolls, and I believe he was referring to 'trolls' in the literal term and not the distorted version that STGRB uses. As long as BL removes real trolls (assuming Rick C finds his way over here soon), I am glad to know they can handle it.
I agree with KarylnP on this as well (and well stated, in fact!). I think it was just one post and he was referring to "trolls" in a general response. I didn't read his comments as taking sides, but as in him speaking as an admin/representative of BookLikes addressing it as an issue, not so much the issue in the way that STGRB presents it.

That's how I read it too: An unbiased opinion he'd give to anyone who asks. Obviously he's too busy to investigate the origins of STGRB and all that's happened since, but unlike a certain other site I believe the BookLikes representatives will actually investigate before throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I think this is more likely a Bransford instance where he doesn't know the background behind the site, but at least he's also not fully condoning them blindly like Bransford did. When did book blogging become so unnecessarily stressful?

Around the time certain author couldn't believe she'd got a one star review for her book and went mad in a sock shop?
