I've never read Finnegans Wake but the pictures were amazing. I love the Folio Society's editions; I hope to get a couple of their fine volumes as soon as possible.

Aren't those great? I really like that kind of art. The Folio Society did an edition of The Bloody Tower that I wanted to eat.

LOL! I know what you mean. Their Pride and Prejudice is gorgeous and some of their others I all but drool over. My husband doesn't get the price tags for mere books but I've dreamed of owning books this beautiful and well made.

You should remind your husband that you have a birthday every single year, and he's missed a couple.

LOL! That happens to be true, but who's counting? ;P
I'm already looking at getting some for my birthday...the problem is I also have a backlog of books and DVDs that apparently all decided to come out this year. Why I've been making liberal use of the library so far. Oh well. But yes, I hope to pick up one or two this year.
