Uh we don't do ugly sweater in Cali, I was excited when I woke up this morning to a lil drizzle

I have a soft spot in my heart for a big ol' ugly reindeer sweater. Worn with hairy Uggs, LOL!
Ha. I remember "fall" and "winter" in SoCal ... I was wearing sweaters and tweeds for temperatures in which I'd still have gone outside in short sleeves and without any jacket whatsoever in Germany.

I'm in Nor-Cal, but I'm still a chilly willie. I like to say we have two seasons here : The green season and the brown season, depending on whether the grass on the hillsides is dry or not :)
Hahaha. I work with a California Girl. At this time of year she has a permanent horrified expression on her face. I don't think she's impressed with the
Better than the 4 SoCal seasons: fires -- mud slides -- flash floods -- earthquakes! (IIRC)

You're in Sonoma, aren't you? Beautiful countryside ...

Yep :) There's so much pretty here sometimes I forget to stop and take a look at it.
An embarrassment of riches ... :) (Like so many places in California. I loved living there.)
New England winters.

I spent my twelfth year in Vermont, and it was truly idyllic. Actually experienced REAL crystal snowflakes, icicles and seriously cold weather. Learned to ski, ice fish & ice skate outdoors PLUS our next door neighbor tapped trees and had a sugar shack! I gotta get back there one of these years to do some leaf peeping!

Nice sweaters. Being from the Great White North, as long as the snow hasn't fallen, we are all in denial about the inevitable "Winter is Coming."

My sister-in-law grew up in Winnipeg. She laughs at any whining about cold.

My husband went to grad school in Madison, and he has many fond memories of cozy bars with piles of heavy coats... Oh, and "no exposed flesh".
