LOL.

This is the only Updike book I've read. I made it to the end but felt no inclination to read anything else. It felt clichéd and self-indulgent.

I thought the movie was bad enough - sorry this wasn't any better.

The film was so bad ... but also hilarious in a "I can't believe how bad this is" way. Would not want to read the book, tho.
