Thanks for this. The Sound & the Fury is my second favourite Faulkner (following Absalom! Absalom!), & you have kindled the need in me to re-read the book, as it has been a number of years.

I am always glad to inspire reading, and I am certain I will be in your shoes soon. This is definitely a book that bears multiple reads. I don't have Absalom! Absalom! but I will have to check it out ... maybe after a little break from Faulkner.
