Have you tried The Wanderers by Kate Ormand? I haven't read it yet (it's my next one) but I think it's fairly clean, although I saw in one review that it has a high body count. Not sure about the gore factor. It's got a variety of shifters from what I understand -lions, elephants??, others...
Virtual Fantasy Con sounds fun. And I'm keen to see what you think of a Princess of Mars as that's a favorite of my youth. :)
I was a CYBILs judge last year, round 2 YA realistic fiction. This year I'm doing round 2 judging for YA/MG nonfiction, which will be a stretch for me, and I'm pretty excited! Good luck with your audio judging. That's got to be a huge time commitment. I've been listening to audiobooks more in the car, but I still find the pace frustrating. If I get really into the book, I usually grab a hard copy and finish it, or at least read ahead.
I tend to listen on double speed when I'm not doing a review copy. (I'm going to leave the rest of my response on your site, so you'll be sure to get it.)
Well done on the Blog ahead posts - I only manage to blog ahead by a post or two at a time! I'm terrible! Therefore - no time management tips from me. ;)
I hope you enjoy The Reader although I'm curious as to how it will translate in Audio. I got an eARC and loved all the little extras in the print - marginalia and such. I am going to look for a physical copy of it for my library I liked it that much!
I'm trying to think of some good Shifter books that would be available in audio but my brain is failing me. It's MONDAY! ;)
Sorry you didn't get to do as much as you wanted since Booklikes was being slow :-/ But ooh Virtual Fantasy Con sounds very cool! I'll have to check that out, thanks for pointing it out :-) HAve a great week!
I think you did a pretty good job getting any blog-ahead blog posts done. I seem to be writing and posting everything on the day it's due!

Other than the usual thing about the women mostly just being window dressing (and all the killing), I really enjoy PoM.
