Ugh, sorry. I try to stay away from this topic in my books and movies but sometimes you don't know it's there until you read or watch it. That being said, I'm intrigued by your review so I'll be checking it out now that I've been warned!
Yeah.... But beware with the prose as well - I found it really disjointed and awkwardly written in some places. It may be the style/tone but I had issues with it but the rape scene and the reasons behind it Oye :P

Thank you for the warning. I'm not sure if I want to read this now given the nature of the relationships in the book and the rape scene. :(
Yeah if I had known this was centred around a rape plot and it was part of the scam - I would have not have read it. I loved the premise and idea of the plot but it was a huge let down :(
