i recommend Tarzan (1st book) and Princess of Mars (John Carter Book 01). most of ERB's books are in the public domain. you can download them everywhere - Gutenberg, Manybooks.net, Amazon, etc.

Just checked Princess of Mars out of the library because it was there. I'll give that one a shot--certainly sounds interesting!

i found that book fun. ERB's imagination is crazy cool. hope you enjoy it and won't think about the Disney version when you read it. ;)

I actually didn't even know there *was* a Disney version, so I won't have that problem, for sure. :)

It's definitely worth giving it a shot. It was on my "I should read this" list for an awfully long time too, though, so I totally get that. :)
