Oh, shoot. Happening to me now too. It *has* to be a bug. There is no way anyone in their right minds would think we preferred a page redirect.
i originally just thought my computer was playing up, but it happened a few times to many. hopefully it'll be sorted out soon :)

I reported it, but MurderByDeath says it is a "new feature," not a bug.

Want to join me in attempting to protest this "feature"? I access BL mainly through mobile, where pageloads are expensive. This is a big enough deal for me to consider shifting my attention elsewhere if it isn't resolved.
Yeah, how do you hover over something on a mobile phone?

Maybe they'll reconsider if they realize a bunch of people use it over the phone.

Hi, sorry for any inconvenience. When it comes to adding books, you can do it via:
- the search box and the search result page (+Shelf, +Post);
- book popup (once you hover over),
- via book page (once you click the cover or on mobiles). One more time sorry for any trouble.
Thanks Bookaneer and Murder by Death, i checked out the links.
I agree, I prefer the old method of the pop up when you clicked on the book cover. i just find it much more convenient to use.

Thanks for the warning. There are a lot of things I can't do on my phone, including creating new posts. I can add to comments, but not start anything new.

So sorry to hear this. Please mail us with details what's happening, what phone it is, the os and what browser are you using when it happens. We'll check this and fix. Our mail: contact@booklikes.com
@Lora, that happened to my kindle, but my phone is fine for adding new posts. odd.
though both are a pain to type anything quickly and accurately (plus my spell check sometimes goes into over-drive) so i tend to use the laptop for new post's anyways.

It's an HTC phone, but I don't know what the operating system is. It was given to me second hand. Is there a way to check?

IIRC (but I have a Samsung, which is different, so I may be wrong) you should be able to go to "settings" (the gear) -> "about phone" (all the way at the bottom, under "advanced settings") -> "android version".
If that doesn't work, on a Samsung, it's settings->more->about device, so it might be that.

It's definitely hidden in "settings" somewhere, although I wouldn't be surprised if finding the version is version-dependent :)
