Thanks, Char & Barks. It's really upsetting as they still haven't put anything in writing about rejecting the claim even though the property manager has asked on two occasions this week. Due to the leak being slow and long standing there was black mould which was apparently treated but again I've not seen any paperwork from the insurance company to confirm that. Yes, they are very good at taking your money and what upsets me the most is that they knew from the builders and plumber at the beginning of the claim that it was a sustained leak and that is the reason that they rejected it. Would have been far less stressful if they had made that decision at the time instead of dragging it out for weeks on end.
Hopefully my previous insurer will get the work done. Fingers crossed.
