Awww, I think everyone that works has been in your position at one time or another. It sucks. :(
I firmly believe that buying and reading these books was a good thing to do! That's right, I'm an enabler. :)

Joyland is so good and perfect summer reading! I read Lucky too, many (many) moons ago. It was trashy but I couldn't put it down. Sorry you're feeling blue and hope things improve for you.
