There was an even more descriptive section with the details of the procedure and why it's done, which I could just barely tolerate (although it felt almost lovingly detailed in a way that struck me as disturbing, beyond the fact that it's just a horrible way to end up in a hospital). But comparing them to food? Nope nope.

That's a horrible way to describe them!
