I didn't mind Twilight for what it was ( I agree with all the criticisms and still read the whole series, but definitely cringed the whole way through the last book!). Stella is sassier and more realistic with a more lighthearted approach.

Is the writing better? That's what I hated about Twilight. I made myself read it and a friend borrowed the movies, but I couldn't read any more of the series. It was just tortuous, all plot and characters aside.

I believe the writing is better, especially the conversations!
