I have The Fisherman on tap to read. I was all set to meet Mr. Langan at a book festival this past October, but he had a last minute problem and couldn't make it. I still bought the book though. :)
The Ballad of Black Tom also made my list. I need to read more from that guy.
Lastly, I loved the Locke Lamora tales too, but I've only read, (well, listened) to the first two, so far. Do they go downhill from there?
Yes and no. The third book was my least favorite, but did have several of my favorite moments. The problems came in the political sections, one of which almost made me bail, it was so dull. Luckily, it is a short section, and may be ameliorated by a good narrator. I do suggest it if you like the first two, and the fourth is, supposedly, due this year.
