Maybe I'm odd (strike that, I'm *sure* I'm odd, but maybe I'm odd about *this*), but I don't think I have ever noticed whether something was written in first or third or shifted between the two. I must notice it subconsciously, because I do know the difference, but in practice I couldn't tell you which almost any of my favorite books were written in.

You know, I've never heard that before. But I have no clue if it's actually odd or not. Maybe there are people who care, people who don't, and people who don't notice.

I totally agree. Present tense is like the lemon-tinged salt in the first person wound.

And just now I saw someone complaining that a book was written in third person, limited I assume. :P

Who is this person? I must harm them!
