He's a new author to me, but the reviews on these two books have me really looking forward to diving in.

I have The Blackwater Saga but haven't started it, yet. I need to find the right time... The Elementals was creepy. I loved it. McDowell totally hooked me with that book.

Blackwater is phenomenal! The Elementals is excellent as well. :)
