Yep. I get it too because I didn't care for the one book of his I listened to on audio. I don't think he's an author for me.

I'm not sure if it's the author or the genre. Most of the nonfictions I read are memoirs, bios, true crime, or examinations of past events, like the dust bowl or whatever. This just reads like a grumpy old man version of Erma Bombeck.
