The guy who worked on Mean Girls (which was a fun movie in its own right, but not the same type of vibe AT ALL) worked on VA, so I think they were trying to tap into that feel, but I don't like the comparison at all. Vampire Academy's strength (especially once you get past books 1 and 2 and into the meat of the series) is in the action/adventure side and dark humor. Mean Girls is too much of a parody for Mead's type of storytelling. I'm hoping that the movie will show more of the dark side than the trailers do.
That's funny. A friend on my GR update said she pictured him looking older. I think the actor is 28, so about 4 years older than the character. It probably bothers me less than how old Four looks in the Divergent movie.
