you know, after reading Romancelandia I feel like I want more books like "that". I mean where not both main characters are the macho guys with perfect abs. Also reading Second Service with the not so perfect women made me realize I'm up to that in general.

All this perfect people make me feel bad about myself sometimes - and it is a bit pathetic how glad I get for something realistic...

I think since we want a realistic feel to the novels it makes sense that we want the MC to be that as well. Naturally we want the perfect guy (for a certain gal) not only mentally but physically but there is no need for the both of them to be THAT perfect. Also I think that we get more and more books with characters that aren't "hero" material which is something that makes the book more realistic as well so the physical part is also something I think about this way - not being perfect period.
