SHIT! This is NOT the kind of book I'd read. I can read most of the stuff in a fiction novel where there is a "point" to those things, but I can't see myself reading about these kind of things that happened in real life, too depressing.
Very true! We picked it for our real life book club. And, boy, was that a tough read.
It was interesting, because it had a lot of information about psychology and especially cleared up some "romantic" views on psychopatic killers. This guy for example had a very low IQ- just above mentally handicapped and well below average.
No charisma, no diabolic inner life. More beast than man.
The fact that it was a true story made it very interesting- would it have been a novel, I might have said "doesn't sound realistic", because media/movies/TV gives us such a wrong picture of those kind of criminals...
