I hate when that happens! You wait for a certain character to get their own book and then it doesn't live up to expectations and somehow that is so much worse than a mediocre book you knew nothing about.
Exactly!!! If I read this one first, I might have liked it fine. But Carwyn was such a great and interesting and endearing character - and this is what he gets? Ts, ts, ts
