I like to read series one after the other so I don't forget things but lately I've run into the too similar problem like you. Sometimes it seems like only the names have changed and maybe the eye color, lol.

Exactly! There was no sense of this being a different person. I even got confused reading some scenes. It was quite disappointing, as I normally like this "blond cowboy" trope a lot. And the native American cowboy, too. But this was just too schematic...

good that I didn't think of adding this one! I don't know why authors go into this "thing" doing series when it's not necessary or they don't have good ideas for the next ones..
