That is so odd! Makes you really not trust translations...
Yeah, I'm feeling confirmed in my anti-translation prejudice yet again ... and I am really really glad (not only for this reason, though) that I decided to get the book in both Spanish and German.
Um,... I'm so glad you're writing these updates, I'm missing all of this. Tho, I don't feel like I'm missing anything while reading the German translation. But then I haven't gotten far, yet.
He didn't skip anything (that I noticed) in the first two chapters -- and to be fair, the German text doesn't *read* as if there were anything missing. But it's now happened twice that I switched back from German to Spanish and went, "Waitaminute, where is this in the German version??"
