I think so, for the reason you just mentioned. I agree that the problems she described are very real, and I wouldn't be surprised at some point Booklikes will go the way of Shelfari, Leafmarks, and others. But until then we are a community of readers that probably never would have encountered each other without a site like this, and that value is still there in spite of all the other issues.

(it probably doesn't hurt, BTW, that I like adding the books myself -- that way I can get listings to look the way I want them, rather than relying on a machine-driven import with all its flaws.)
I'm sure she'd love to hear your views in response to her post in the official BL group. (Sorry, I should have made that clearer!) And I agree both on the makeup of this community and on importing books individually.

this blogger is also on Twitter if anyone else is using twitter. She's vee // let's just read instead
@vee_bookish. I love the people that I've gotten to know here. Yes, I've had to add books, not a problem, just a little time-consuming. My stuff is also posting, where I had a problem before. So I'm trying to post more. the fact that we can actually "blog", communicate with other readers easier than other sites, etc makes this a good site. now to get the people that set up the site to come back and do what they are supposed to do.
Thank you for sharing! I found her and followed her on Twitter, too. That way, I discovered that she also has a "Blogger" blog: https://vee-bookish.blogspot.com/
P.S. And, as I said above, I'm sure she'd appreciate your response in the "official" BookLikes group as well!
