It is so much harder to write a good short story than a good novel. Sorry you didn't like it as much. Just sounds like the author needs to keep writing. It's not easy to master the art of the short story.
yeah, I know what you mean! have you read the one by Serena Bell? It's about 30 pages as well, yet it does an excellent job in bringing us a full and good story.
