The first was great and then getting those "glimpses" to how it starting to become a relationship is great. We always say that relationship needs time to reform and here since every novella happens a very weeks or something apart it feels more real. It doesn't have this absolute HEA that a lot of people love, but if you loved the first one than I guess you wouldn't mind.
